My Roots

I Guess You Wanted to Learn More About Me.

Well, here goes.

By now you already know that I started washing windows at 13 years old for my grandfather's cleaning company. What you probably don't know is that around the same time, I became fascinated with something completely different—the way money moves through our everyday lives and how simple ideas can become successful businesses.

Back in high school in McHenry, Illinois, we had a closed campus, which meant nobody could leave for lunch or snacks. But every Tuesday morning, there was a local bakery that sold cinnamon rolls the size of your head for about three bucks each. So every Tuesday before school, I'd load my backpack with as many as I could afford...

Who needed textbooks anyway?

By the time the first bell rang, I already had regular customers waiting for me. My returning "clients" paid $8, while new customers paid $10. Looking back, it's funny to think I had repeat business before I was old enough to drive. Before long i was making far more than my $10 weekly lunch allowance—and eating like a king.

But it wasn't really about the money.

It was the first time I realized something that has stayed with me ever since: if you provide something people genuinely value, they'll happily exchange their hard-earned money for your time, effort, and expertise. That simple lesson became the foundation for how I view business today.

As the years went on, I continued working alongside my grandfather, learning the service industry from the ground up. He didn't just teach me how to clean windows—he taught me how to show up on time, take pride in your work, stand behind your word, and build relationships that last for decades. Watching him build a respected company from the ground up showed me what it truly means to earn a reputation instead of simply advertising one.

Those lessons shaped who I am today. They led me to build Northern Overnight Cleaning, help lead Northern IL. Windows, and eventually discover the career that truly captured my passion—high-rise rope access. Every chapter of my journey has been built on the same belief I discovered years ago with a backpack full of cinnamon rolls: work hard, provide real value, and take care of people.

So, thank you for taking a few minutes to learn a little more about me. It means a lot.

If we have the opportunity to meet for your free consultation, I'd love to hear your story too. Every building has its own challenges, every property has its own goals, and I truly enjoy helping owners and managers find the safest, most effective solution. Who knows—we may end up talking about rope access, business, life... or maybe even cinnamon rolls.
